At one time and for most of my life I lived in a small city in Northwestern Ontario called Thunder Bay.  At one time this tiny city was actually quite large with more than 130,000 population but this dwindled over the years. I could go on in details as to why I think it dwindled, but I won't bore you with my perceptions here... you can take a look at a few pics if you like.

• the Sleeping Giant resides in the Thunder Bay harbour on Lake Superior, a well-known landmark to those in the area as well as to the many tourists who have visited,

• the original Terry Fox Monument is also well-known across Canada, erected on the location just outside Thunder Bay overlooking the city where Terry ended his cross-country run to raise money for cancer research.
Then I met my husband on-line and two years later moved to live with and marry him just outside a small town called Wheatfield, Indiana... We now have a son, Joshua Robert, born to us July 18, 2000 so time is a luxury we don't have much of these days but we are planning something for next year's event --- maybe a corn roast?

But who am I? Hmmm... I'll try to summarize the different roles I play in life's complex maize.

I AM...

• a wife,
• a mother,
• an only daughter,
• a middle child (with an older brother and a younger brother).

I AM ALSO...

• a card designer,
• a writer,
• a poet of sorts,
• a web page designer,
• a web site owner,
• a painter of sorts,
• a photographer of sorts,
• a ferret lover,
• an entrepreneur,
• a home business operator.

I ONCE WAS...

• a purchasing agent,
• a wholesale/distribution agent,
• a sales rep,
• a music business agent and promoter,
• a sound tech,
• an accountant,
• a bookkeeper,
• the list goes on...

One thing I am and shall always be --- a student in life's school. There is always something new to learn, to explore, to investigate, and more. Academically speaking I was always a straight "A" student, honor rolls, the works... In the school of life I don't always ace my tests, I'm not always the winner of my debates, and I"ve surely learnt in life's school you can't skip a grade or two. I'm certainly not perfect and don't pretend to be, but what I am is persistant (to a point), earnest in learning my lessons, generous in sharing what I've learnt, hardworking accepting life's challenges, and always curious to learn more of what life is all about.
