Whatever Happened To The
Lounge Cruise
What a Week!!

Ok, everyone, wondering what happened to the First Annual (and maybe last annual) Lounge Cruise? For those of you who weren't aware, Hurricane Floyd hit the Carribean the same date we were supposed to be on board floating directly in its path. Yikes!!!

The day before the event both Marsh and I had our bags packed, our paperwork and passports in order, all set to sail off into the sunset... You see, Floyd had been predicted to make a turn and head north at about this time and hadn't reach nearly the ferocity it was to become.

But then... we watched the weather channel closely and carefully as Floyd decided to change his mind and show us all the power he held. By midnight (we were supposed to leave at 3 a.m. and fly out by 5 a.m.) Marsh decided we were NOT going. Good decision on his part. See, the 14th would have placed us at Nassau right at the time Floyd hit that tiny island and beat it ferociously with wind, rain, and waves!!

So, we spent the week tracking Floyd's progress spreading his wrath up the Eastern coastline and sending prayers to all of our friends in his path.

We don't have a year 2000 cruise planned but we may do something for 2001 --- however, you can bet it won't be planned during a Hurricane season. *VBG*
