Tip #1: be sure to buy twice
as much ingredients as what the recipe calls for.
Tip #2: measure out ingredients
for a single batch and pour into ice cream maker.
Tip #3: don't insert the
mixing blade and plug ice cream maker in
Tip #4: check regularly
for the next hour (machine should automatically turn off when ice cream
is done - approx. 1/2 hour or less depending on the recipe)
Tip #5: on discovering the
mixing blade is not inserted, dump out first batch *chuckle*
Tip #6: repeat step #1 and
#2 then install mixing blade...
Shortly after plugging second
batch in you will have some of the creamiest, richest, homemade ice cream
you have ever tasted!!

We surely missed those who had planned to attend but could not make it. We even had a few extravagant plans to build little stuffed dolls and place them around the fire to "hang out" with us during the roast. *chuckle* We wanted to dress Ian in a cape and superman costume to go with his "hero" image... *hehe* ...and Ted, well for sure we wanted a picture of him riding the new tractor... two sets of wings and halo's were being reserved in our thoughts for Alexis and Leia *g* ...Purr, Miki, VG, BB, and everyone else who could not make it, we're sorry we missed giving you hugs in person. Maybe next roast?

A Rather Upset Little

There were a few present who could not join the party --- namely Lady (pictured above), Cuddles, and Silver. They were kept caged through most of the event, although Cuddles did get to go out for a bit on his harness, and Silver was lovingly cuddled by Cessie... Thank you Cessie. You gave my dear Silver some wonderful moments during the last week of his short life. He passed away one week after the Hog Roast. Thank you for giving him those precious moments of your time during your visit.
